Jobing Description

Invest in Indiana's future. Teach math.

Students in disadvantaged communities are twice as likely as their counterparts in non-low-income schools to have math teachers with a non-math major or minor.

Nearly half of Indianapolis 10th graders are not proficient in Algebra I.

How can you change these outcomes? Become an Indianapolis Teaching Fellow and use your math skills to improve academic achievement in your classroom and make a critical impact on our state?s highest need students.

Indianapolis Teaching Fellows teach secondary math ranging from the core subjects of Algebra and Geometry to specialized classes designed to catch up student skills behind grade level. • Ongoing professional development through ITF, Marian University and employer
  • Receiving a $5,550 AmeriCorps Education Award after successful completion of their first year that can be used to cover certification costs or other qualified federal loans (pending approval)
