Description:
The incumbent is responsible for developing, implementing, and coordinating policies and procedures regarding: employment, employee relations, wage and salary administration, benefit administration, training, safety, and overall employee services. The incumbent also provides advice, guidance, and consultation on matters of human resources administration.
Duties:
Interacts with all internal and external customers in a caring and respectful manner in accordance with our Core Values philosophy.
Maintains protected health information in accordance with HIPAA privacy guidelines.
Plans, organizes, and directs all activities of the Human Resources department
Develops human resources policies, ensuring laws which affect human resources administration are incorporated into policies
Assists managers and supervisors with the administration of human resources policies to ensure compliance and consistency of application in personnel practices
Administers compensation, performance appraisal, and benefit programs and services for the company.
Makes recommendations and assists with the management of employees within the company, including hiring, terminations, disciplinary actions, promotions, demotions, reclassifications, and reorganizations.
Advises and directs company employees on all aspects of human resources administration; ensures employees are kept abreast of changes in personnel policies; counsels with employees on personnel policies and problems.
Ensures human resources practices are in alignment with organizational changes/development.
Directs employment activities, ensuring company adheres to Equal Employment Opportunity policy/laws.
Engages legal counsel as necessary to ensure HR activities are administered legally and ethically.
Administers employee training programs, ensuring the needs of employees are met and appropriate training resources are available.
Investigates and resolves employee complaints and concerns.
Represents the organization in meetings, hearings, and any other manner appropriate for the position.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in personnel administration or related area.
Graduate degree is helpful.
Five (5) to seven (7) years generalist experience in human resources administration.
