Jobing Description
The Electrician is responsible for layout, installation, repair and preventative maintenance of all electrical equipment and power and lighting systems in the facility including motors, generators, transformer controls and mechanisms, timing devices, switches, cable and conduits. This includes connections to electronic equipment or the installation and repair of any other electrical equipment.
The Electrician will apply electrical theory and related knowledge to test and modify developmental or operational electrical machinery and electrical control equipment and circuitry. Assemble and test motor-control devices, switch panels, transformers, generator windings, solenoids, and other electrical equipment and components. Diagnose causes of electrical malfunction or failure of operational equipment and perform preventative and corrective maintenance.
Additional responsibilities include setting up, testing and maintaining all equipment used in production welding operations such as welding machines and equipment, jigs, fixtures, mechanical devices such as ejection and material handling devices, safety devices, electrical components and controls, hydraulic components and controls, and pneumatic components and controls. Basic Qualifications:

High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)
*
Eight (8) years of documented experience or a U.S. Department of Labor Completion of Apprenticeship Certificate as an Electrician in a manufacturing environment
*
Ability, with or without reasonable accommodation, to work any shift and work some overtime, including daily, weekend and holidays
* Experience working from blueprints, drawings, layouts or other specifications
*
Electrical experience supporting manufacturing operations to locate and diagnose trouble in electrical systems or equipment
*
Experience in replacing broken or defective parts in equipment or machines, electrical equipment and tooling
*
Experience in PLC (programmable logic controller) programing and troubleshooting
*
Experience replacing, adjusting, altering and maintaining welding guns, cylinders, cables, tips, holders, adaptors, transformers and any electrical or mechanical devices pertaining to welding operations either automatic or manual
*
Experience with industrial controls, conveyance systems, sub-stations, motor control centers, power distribution panels, electrical starters, variable frequency drives (VFDs)
*
Strong mechanical aptitude including knowledge and troubleshooting experience with pneumatics and hydraulics
Strong computer skills
*
Experience with computerized maintenance management systems
In order to be considered for the position you will be asked to provide a minimum of 8 years of verifiable and documented experience or a U.S. Department of Labor Completion of Apprenticeship Certificate as an Electrician in a manufacturing environment.
Relocation is not provided for this position.
