Greatbatch Medical is seeking a Human Resources Generalist for its Columbia City, Indiana facility. The primary purpose of this position is to provide HR support for the plant including associate relations, exempt and non-exempt staffing/recruitment, training and compliance. Essential Job Functions - Adheres to Greatbatch Core Beliefs and all safety and quality requirements. - Provide daily administration of HR policies, procedures and programs. - Provide associate relations support to plant in the areas of progressive discipline, corrective action, career counseling and succession planning. Facilitate investigation of complaints and issues. - Promotes a positive work environment through timely resolution to associate concerns and consistent application of policies, procedures, management standards and training. - Coordinate recruiting, interviewing, testing and selection of exempt and non-exempt positions for the plant. - May participate on the plant leadership team and provide continuous communication with corporate and plant management on issues. - Promote associate communications through ongoing and visible associate contact. - Assist in the implementation of all plant training programs including new associate orientation. - Ensure and monitor legislative compliance. - Ensure inclusion and an open and equitable environment for all associates related to programs, policies and procedures. - Work with corporate and regional HR and management on salary increase recommendations for new hires, promotions and other staffing changes. - Assist in implementing benefits programs, including open and new hire enrollment and other communication plans. - Maintain accurate records, documentation and management of HR data in compliance with state and national regulations and Greatbatch policy. Generate reporting per schedule and as needed. Position Qualifications - Education and Experience Bachelor s degree required (HR, Industrial Psychology, Business Admin or related field). 5+ years experience in a related field. Manufacturing industry experience preferred. SPHR/PHR helpful. Experience with acquisitions helpful. - Specialized Knowledge Knowledge of State and Federal Labor Laws (i.e. EEO, FMLA, Wage & Hour), interviewing and training/presentation skills. - Related Competencies Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal, decision making and conflict management skills; models behaviors consistent with company/functional area/leadership values (confidentiality, honesty, integrity, treating others with respect ); demonstrates ability to multi-task with high level of attention to detail. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint. HRIS (ADP, Oracle) and applicant tracking systems experience preferred.
