The Occupational Health & Environmental Safety Division (OH&ESD) is currently seeking a Manufacturing Operations Manager to manage manufacturing and supply chain operations and/or plants for the Division, including the development of strategic and operating plans. This position will be located in Indianapolis, IN.

The individual hired to this position will ensure business objectives and strategic goals are met through development, adoption and implementation of manufacturing strategies and plans. Key focus areas include safety and compliance; quality; customer service; cost reduction and support for growth. Individual will have 3 Manufacturing Plants reporting into them.

Key duties and responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

1) Manufacturing Operations Strategic Planning
2) Human Resources Management
3) Support/Lead Customer Service & Quality
4) Support/Lead New Product and Technology Development
5) Support/Lead Global Supply Chain Management
6) Financial Management
7) Manufacturing Effectiveness Assessments

Responsibilities of this position may include direct and/or indirect physical or logical access to information, systems, technologies subjected to the regulations/compliance with U.S. Export Control Laws.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

*
Bachelor's Degree

*
Minimum of 7 years manufacturing experience

Preferred Qualifications:

*
Master's Degree in a related field

*
Previous plant manager experience strongly preferred

*
Minimum 6 years experience in multiple manufacturing leadership positions

* Minimum 12 years experience in a manufacturing environment
*
Experience in strategic planning

*
Breadth of experience in all aspects of manufacturing

* Six Sigma Black Belt
* Demonstrated ability to influence others globally
* Strong leadership and supervisory skills
* Effective decision making with the ability to influence others
* Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) implementation and leadership
* International experience
* Comprehensive understanding of how to work within a 3M business unit structure
* Excellent oral and written communication
* Results oriented and strong execution skills
