Our ENS (Elliott-Nielsen-Sanlo) business unit is adding a Marketing Leader to the Sanlo team in Michigan City, IN. Since 1957, Sanlo has provided products, including galvanized steel and stainless steel cable in many configurations for a wide variety of applications. Our products include galvanized wire rope and aircraft cable, vinyl and nylon coated cable and wire rope. The thermoplastic coatings are an integral part of the cable, which enhances the appearance and extends the service life of the cables. The Marketing Leader will serve as a liaison between the onsite facility manager and the management.
Key responsibilities include:
* Develop and implement business strategies and plans to secure new and existing business for strategic market growth, includes gaining entrance into new channels
* Cross functional involvement and participation on teams focused on driving Key Business Initiatives
* Develop and continually update an acquisition funnel providing target acquisition opportunities
* Develop relationships with senior management of key external accounts
* Maintain and track results of sales and customer service efforts
* Interface with the onsite facility Operations Managers, and Supervisors
* Accomplishes sales human resource objectives by recruiting, selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees in assigned districts; communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, appraising, and reviewing job contributions; planning and reviewing compensation actions; enforcing policies and procedures.
* strategic plans and reviews; preparing and completing action plans; implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolving problems; completing audits; identifying trends; determining regional sales system improvements; implementing change.
* Meets sales financial objectives by forecasting requirements; preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions.
* Establishes sales objectives by creating a sales plan and quota for districts in support of site objectives.
* Recommends product lines by identifying new product opportunities, and/or product, packaging, and service changes; surveying consumer needs and trends; tracking competitors.
* Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks.
