Job Description:

Purpose/Function:

The New Media / Graphic Design Intern is responsible for supporting a wide variety of E-Business design initiatives, while gaining a broad understanding of BrightPoints E-Business solutions and processes. He or she provides general assistance, project support, and contributions towards various E-Business objectives, such as design and creative content for companys websites, portals, customer-facing e-commerce applications, and other interactive marketing efforts.

Major Essential Functions

* Supports ongoing initiatives related to design of companys E-Business solutions, including websites, portals, and customer-facing e-commerce applications.
* Creates designs and layouts, formats/stylizes graphics, and manages related creative content for multiple e-commerce and portal web sites.
* Develops concepts and implements designs for template-based and custom email campaigns.
* Actively participates in cross-functional testing of companys E-Business solutions, including but not limited to compatibility, usability, performance, and functionality.
* Identifies recommendations and areas of potential improvement based upon academic studies, past experience, and knowledge of industry standards, best practices, and emerging technologies

Experience and Skills:

Qualification Requirements:

* Undergraduate studies in New Media, Graphic Design, Informatics, or a related field.
* Strong familiarity with key technologies, development tools and languages, packaged software solutions, and technical methodologies used to develop and support BrightPoints E-Business solutions. Examples include HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Flash, and Adobe creative suite.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills.
* Must be able to work well in a fast-paced, team environment and possess strong attention to detail.
* Competent with standard office productivity applications, such as Microsoft Office suite.
