Jobing Description
Goshen College is seeking a tenure-track Assistant or Associate Professor of Art to start in fall of 2012. Primary teaching responsibilities will be in Graphic Design/Visual Communication. Load for the first year will be 7 courses (8 courses is full load, but 7 includes full-time benefits) with the intention of moving to full load later with additional responsibilities in online course offerings, and/or interdisciplinary collaboration.
A successful applicant should demonstrate a strong commitment to undergraduate teaching, mentoring, and student advising. They will be responsible for the further growth and development of the Graphic Design program. While Goshen College is predominantly a residential college, an initiative to include more extensive online offerings will provide new opportunities.
Qualifications
M.F.A. or equivalent terminal degree in Graphic Design/Visual Communications is required. College level teaching experience is preferred. A belief in a small, liberal arts college education and support for the core values and mission of Goshen College is essential.
