Job Description

Davis Langdon, An AECOM Company, is seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Project Controls Engineer / Cost Engineer/Quantity Surveyor to provide site based Project Controls services on Pharmaceutical projects. This full-time position will initially be based in Mount Vernon, Indiana. This is an opportunity to apply your background and experience project controls, advising at every step of the construction process and determining successful outcomes.

The role will include the following as responsibilities:

* Provide strategic advice to clients on project delivery and procurement methods.

* Coordinate with project management, design teams and contractors.

* Provide design stage cost planning and value engineering.

* Maintain cost control procedures, preparing project cost reports and budgets.

* Prepare cash flow reports.

* Analyze and negotiate change order requests and invoices.

* Review and agree applications for payment.

* Review and agree final accounts and project close-out.

The ideal candidate will have a solid background in project controls, quantity surveying, cost engineering or scheduling, with the following:

* 10+ years relevant experience on large-scale construction projects

* Bachelors or higher degree in a construction related discipline

* Experience preparing budgets, cash flow analyses and other financial reports

* Demonstrated client management, communication and organization skills

* Ability to lead projects and manage resources

* Ability to think strategically, plan and problem solve

* Capacity to work in a team setting with minimal supervision or direction

* Ability to write complex business documents, such as reports, papers, detailed letters and emails

* Attention to detail and quality

* Demonstrated stability and longevity in job history

* Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word

* Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Project and/or Primavera P3 highly desirable
