Job: Sr Mac Specialist

Jobing Description

Purpose

* Work with key business partners to support and drive solutions in the department.
* Understand the business and be proactive and innovative in proposing solutions to enable the business, well before they realize the need and ask.
* Help the organization assess current platforms and approaches and define viability, scalability and ability to leverage in other applications
* To define and ensure standards for adidas Mac client hardware and software
* To define, plan and ensure appropriate Hardware & Software Release Planning for Macs
* To define and ensure implementation of a standard Mac client and the Mac client management suite
* To define and ensure Release and Change Management for Mac Client Images
* To develop a strategy for a company standard Mac client management suite for remote control, software distribution, inventory/asset management, application metering and imaging.
* To develop and improve the Mac end user workspace environment.
* Provide a single point of contact for and act as an ambassador to both creative and IT Groups regarding Macintosh systems, technologies, problems and possible innovative approaches to challenges they face.
* To assist in local design and troubleshooting in the enterprise environment as it pertains to the integration of Macs.
* Provide technical support, guidance, and documentation to support personnel to offer the Mac community the best support experience possible.
* Provide clear communication channel between IT and Design groups to better align priorities and resources.
* Ensure internal customer satisfaction for all SLD Design Departments.

Knowledge skills and abilities:

* Strong knowledge of Macintosh system platform with both applications and hardware including latest technology and how it integrates in an enterprise environment
* Strong working knowledge of Adobe Suite of Software
* Ability to understand a (product) design organization s requirements and apply the requirements to solutions.
* Proven internal customer satisfaction.
* Proven business process analysis skills -- ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, document findings, draw valid conclusions and propose solutions, whether Mac or Windows based or hybrid.
* Knowledge of the application deployment lifecycle with strong analytical, systems and structured analysis, and social skills and with the ability to view issues and requirements from a business perspective.
* Ability to work effectively in a team environment, coordinating multiple tasks in parallel, many times with conflicting priorities.
* Project management knowledge and experience including project plans, communication, coordination, and problem resolution.
* Identify and propose opportunities for improvement.
* Experience in providing technical guidance to team members and external contract/vendor resources.
* Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with internal customers, IT colleagues, and management.
* Ability to create, plan and deliver presentations.

Education/Qualifications

Required:

* BS/BA degree or equivalent higher educational certification
* 5-7 years of overall IT experience
* 5+ years of project Mac support / development roles
* Understanding of a hybrid Mac / Windows / Enterprise environment
* Solid understanding of IT systems, architectures, development languages / tools and current technologies
* Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and projects while maintaining deadlines and managing resources.
* Excellent analytical, negotiation, diagnostic, and problem-solving skills.
* Advanced verbal and written communication skills, ability to present in both technical and non-technical terms to all levels of staff.
* Ability to understand the business requirement and turn them into solutions

Preferred:

* Advanced degree or certification
* Experience with process and data modeling
* Knowledge of the manufacturing or apparel industry
* Understanding and application of enterprise architecture
* Knowledge of application development on a MAC platform
