About 3S: Medical-Surgical/Innovation Unit
Medical surgical nursing is the core of nursing care, with focus on care in primary, acute, and long-term settings. The goal is to provide excellence in acute care and transition patients to home with the resources needed to maintain health and wellness. The innovation unit will use rapid cycle testing to test changes in our healthcare model. Direct care nurses are hands on with the tests of change within the innovation unit. 3S is using an innovative approach to care by introducing LPN's back to acute care to work beside and with the RN in a team approach to deliver the best care designed for our patient. On the medical surgical unit, you will be introduced to a variety of complex diagnoses. 3S team members are constantly striving for ways to improve patient care, efficiency and quality. All professional team members are trained to become basic rhythm and ACLS certified. Support and encouragement of professional growth and medical-surgical certification is provided to team members.
