Purchasing Manager

Jeffersonville PVcells Corporation is seeking a Purchasing Manager for its Jeffersonville, IN office.

Job Duties: Manage/source the new supplier development program and maintain current supplier commercial communication using SAP (ERP system) to assure the production needs and requirement. Plan, coordinate and execute physical inventory counts. Create request for quotation. Meet with vendors and select vendors based on price, service and ability to meet production needs. Process purchase requisitions from internal departments and ensure proper approvals have been given prior to placing items on order. Liaise with freight forwarder, domestic and international suppliers regularly to monitor the status of shipment and ensure materials arrive on time. Monitor, evaluate, and analyze vendor and supplier performance to ensure quality and delivery requirements. Manage, maintain and update Material Requirement Planning (MRP) data and investigate abnormal material usage. Monitor production schedules to assess future production needs. Perform new material cost evaluation for management review. Identify potential risks in the supply chain and develop contingency plans to mitigate disruptions. Stay informed about market changes and supply chain dynamics that may impact procurement activities. 10% domestic travel required.

Education Requirement: Bachelor's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Technology Management, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. 

Experience Requirements: Five (5) years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in each of the following:

" Utilizing Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, including process integration, data management, and cross-departmental workflow optimization

" Managing end-to-end import and export operations, including documentation, shipping arrangements, and customs declaration across multiple trade zones

" Overseeing global sourcing, supplier negotiations, contract execution, and cost optimization across multiple markets

" Coordinating international freight operations involving ocean, air, and multimodal transport, ensuring on-time delivery and cost control

" Negotiating long-term raw material contracts to stabilize costs and ensure compliance with environmental and traceability standards

" Monitoring supplier risks, including geopolitical, environmental, and financial factors, to ensure business continuity
